Summary
- CBS Studios President David Stapf was asked if Your Honor season 3 was a possibility after the show's 2024 streaming success.
- Stapf said they want the show to continue, but it's too soon to tell.
- The continuation of the show would depend on the availability of the cast, which could prevent it from happening.
Your Honor season 3 has gotten a positive update. The show, which premiered on Showtime in 2020, starred Bryan Cranston as Michael Desiato, a New Orleans judge who takes a huge career risk in an attempt to save his son after learning that his hit-and-run victim was connected to a major crime family. Your Honor season 3 never came to fruition as the show was cancelled in 2022, several months prior to the season 2 premiere. However, between Paramount+ and Netflix, it became a major streaming hit in June 2024, with billions of minutes streamed between both seasons.
Deadline recently sat down with David Stapf, the President of CBS Studios. During their interview, they discussed the possibility of YourHonor returning to the air in the wake of its recent streaming resurgence, in a similar manner to Suits' 2023's streaming success spawning the in-development NBC spinoff Suits: L.A. Stapf gave a cautious but optimistic response to the prospect, saying that "it’s a little too soon to know" but "we would like there to be a season 3." Read his full quote below:
We love the show, and we’re hoping that it can continue, but it’s a little too soon to know or to tell. We would like there to be a Season 3 but we’re ways away.
Could Your Honor Season 3 Actually Happen?
The Biggest Hurdle To More Your Honor Would Be The Cast's Availability
Because this streaming success came so close to the finale of the most recent season, it's entirely possible that the show could return without an overly long hiatus, as if it had never been cancelled. However, one major hurdle would be reuniting the Your Honor cast, the majority of which have already moved on to other projects. While quite a few cast members from season 1 did not return for season 2, it would behoove the show to reunite the core cast that appeared in both seasons.
Your Honor season 2 aired its final episode on March 19, 2023.
The most important returning cast member is also most likely the most difficult to get back: Bryan Cranston. The Oscar nominee and six-time Emmy winner remains a hot commodity in the industry and has already appeared in five different projects on both the big and small screens since the end of Your Honor, with more on the way including the upcoming Beowulf retelling Grendel. While his roles in movies like Asteroid City and Argylle likely don't see him locked into long-term franchise contracts, he may nevertheless be too busy to return to a ten-episode season 3 of his Showtime drama.

Bryan Cranston has undoubtedly mastered his craft, and these 10 roles perfectly exemplify his exceptional talent.
Other Your Honor stars have moved on to major projects including Hope Davis (Perry Mason, Asteroid City opposite Cranston), Lilli Kay (Rustin), and Benjamin Flores Jr. (Family Switch, Jurassic World: Chaos Theory). With the cast moving in so many different directions, it would likely take some swift maneuvering to get them to reunite. However, because of the caution the executives are currently taking, this may not be possible by the time they potentially decide to pull the trigger on the project.
